Effective August 6, 2026. CraptasticApps Database Monitor is proprietary software owned by CraptasticApps. It is licensed, not sold, and is not distributed as open-source software.

Free Edition

Free Edition may be used without charge to monitor two database instances with one administrator, manual runs, core health checks, and 24 hours of history.

Professional

Professional is a $1,599 organizational license. From now through Cyber Monday. After that, the price returns to $1,599. It includes perpetual use of the entitled CraptasticApps Database Monitor 2.0.x baseline. It permits commercial and organizational use and unlocks the Professional capabilities identified on the Editions page. The purchase includes 14 months of Maintenance and Support, which entitles the organization to every 2.x.x release published during that term. Each additional 12 months costs 25% of the then-current license price.

Evaluation

Evaluation permits temporary use of Professional capabilities for 30 days solely to assess the product. At expiration, the installation retains its estate and becomes Free Edition. Two enabled instances remain available for manual monitoring; additional instances are paused but remain visible, editable, and deletable. Bulk import, scheduled monitoring, and paid capabilities require Professional. External application storage is left unchanged and disconnected; the application restarts with its local SQLite repository.

Perpetual operation and 2.x updates

Professional includes a perpetual 2.0.x baseline plus every 2.x.x release published on or before its signed support expiration. Every entitled 2.x.x release continues operating perpetually after support ends. A later 2.x.x release requires renewed Maintenance and a renewed signed license; version 3.x is not included. A paid license must first be imported within 90 days of issuance, and technical support requires current Maintenance and Support.

Restrictions

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, reverse engineer, or provide the software as a hosted service to unrelated third parties unless a separate written agreement permits it. License files may not be shared outside the licensed organization.

Ownership and data

CraptasticApps retains ownership of the software and its intellectual property. You retain ownership and control of the inventory, telemetry, credentials, scripts, configuration, and operational data stored by your installation.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided without warranties beyond those required by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SQL Performance Partners is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the software.
